Trailer 001 – 2021 Texas Pride 14ft x 7ft Cylinder Hydraulic Dump Trailer
TRAILER USE
• Pintle hitch attachment is required on all MB MaxLoad Trailers (see photo 1)
• Back tow vehicle up to center receiver hitch to tongue loop
• Using the jack handle, lower the trailer tongue loop into receiver hitch
• Continue raising the trailer jack foot until it stops, then pull the snap ring out and raise the jack foot to the main jack body, then reinsert the snap ring and lock jack foot in place
• Close Pintle Latch on receiver and secure with Snap-pin (see photo 2)
• Cross safety chains and attached to vehicle frame with locking hooks (see photo 3) – DO NOT LET CHAINS DRAG ON THE GROUND!
• Insert 7-pin wiring connector to vehicle 7-pin receiver (see photo 4)
• Clamp carabiner attached to Breakaway brake system cord to chain loop closest to the tow vehicle – make sure to leave enough slack so cord does not pull out and activate the breakaway system while turning
• Check all tires for correct tire pressure, lug nut torque (if you have loosened or removed them during your rental period) and make sure all tire chocks are removed and stowed away in trailer toolbox
o Tire Pressure: All tires – 120lbs
o Lug nut torque: 300 ft-lbs
o See Torque wrench tightening pattern diagram (photo 5)
TRAILER LOADING
• Park tow vehicle and trailer on level ground to unload
• Tow vehicle should be in “Park” with the “Parking Brake” applied
• 18,000lb GVWR (do not load above this limit)
• Prior to loading materials into dump bed, verify that the dump bed safety chain is latched in place (see photo 6) – located behind tool box on dump bed
• Side walls are 36” high – DO NOT LOAD DIRT/ROCK/CONCRETE/SOLID WASTE above the 20” high mark or you will be overweight (see photo 7)
• Do not load material above the tarp system area or you will damage the tarp system and/or hydraulic cylinder
• Do not run into tires, spare tire or side walls while loading material
• Do not run into back of dump bed when loading materials/pallets from open rear doors
TRAILER UNLOADING
• Park tow vehicle and trailer on level ground to unload
• Tow vehicle should be in “Park” with the “Parking Brake” applied
• When ready to unload materials from dump bed, remove the dump bed safety chain from the locking hook (see photo 8)
• Open rear dump bed doors
• Open both doors around to the side walls and latch the swing door hold latch to retain both doors during bed dump – without retaining the doors you will damage the doors while dumping (see photo 9)
• Use wired remote (located inside the hydraulic pump box) to raise the dump bed up to its highest position or until the bed is cleared of material – YOU MUST BE ON LEVEL GROUND TO RAISE THE DUMP BED TO THE TOP OR YOU RISK THE DUMP BED TIPPING OVER
• Pull tow vehicle forward to remove the balance of material still in the bed
• Pull forward at least 10 feet away from the pile of material
• Park tow vehicle again with “Parking Brake” applied
• Use wired remote again to lower the dump bed all the way down until contacting the trailer frame
• Re-attach the dump bed safety chain to the dump bed
• Place wired remote back into the hydraulic pump toolbox
• Close toolbox lid
TRAILER LOADING/UNLOADING with RAMPS
• If you have rented this trailer with the ramp Accessories to load and unload equipment/vehicles, unlock the ramp locks at the rear of the trailer
• Swing lock plates to the side
• Pull each aluminum ramp out at least halfway and grab ramp in two locations to balance the weight
• Slide ramp out and turn around to attach ramp lip to the trailer lip – set at a width that will accommodate the width of the equipment/vehicle you are loading and unloading
• When completed, remove ramps from trailer lip and turn around to slide back into the ramp tray
• Swing ramp lock plates into place and re-lock the padlocks over the ramps
