Trailer 002 – 2015 PJ Trailers 22ft Gravity Tilt Equipment Trailer
TRAILER USE
• Pintle hitch attachment is required on all MB MaxLoad Trailers (see photo 1)
• Back tow vehicle up to center receiver hitch to tongue loop
• Using the jack handle, lower the trailer tongue loop into receiver hitch
• Continue raising the trailer jack foot until it stops, then pull the spring handle out and raise the jack foot to the main jack body, BE CAREFUL NOT TO PINCH YOUR HAND IN THIS JACK FOOT WHEN PULLING SPRING HANDLE!
• Close Pintle Latch on receiver and secure with Snap-pin (see photo 2)
• Cross safety chains and attached to vehicle frame with locking hooks (see photo 3)
• Insert 7-pin wiring connector to vehicle 7-pin receiver (see photo 4)
• Clamp carabiner attached to Breakaway brake system cord to chain loop closest to the tow vehicle – make sure to leave enough slack so cord does not pull out and activate the breakaway system while turning
• Check all tires for correct tire pressure, lug nut torque (if you have loosened or removed them during your rental period) and make sure all tire chocks are removed and stowed away in trailer toolbox (see photo 5)
o Tire Pressure: All tires – 90lbs
o Lug nut torque: 130 ft-lbs

TRAILER LOADING
• Park tow vehicle and trailer on level ground to unload
• Tow vehicle should be in “Park” with the “Parking Brake” applied
• 14,000lb GVWR (do not load above this limit)
• Prior to loading equipment/materials onto tilt bed, verify that the tilt bed lock is in unlocked position (see photo 7) – located on driver’s side at front of wood tilt bed
• Do not load equipment until you have the knife-edge tail touching the ground
• Do not run into tires, spare tire, rub rails or fenders while loading material from the side
• Once equipment has been loaded onto to tilt bed area, lock the tilt bed lock arm and reinsert the snap ring into the arm lock (see photo 8)
TRAILER UNLOADING
• Park tow vehicle and trailer on level ground to unload
• Tow vehicle should be in “Park” with the “Parking Brake” applied
• When ready to unload equipment from tilt bed, remove the snap ring from the tilt bed lock arm and unlock the tilt bed arm
• Slowly move equipment to the rear of the trailer and allow the tilt bed to slowly tilt back to the ground
• Once equipment is off loaded, walk to front edge of tilt bed to slowly lower the bed back to the closed position – once it travels all the way down, reach down and lock tilt bed lock arm and reinsert the snap ring into the arm lock (see photo 8)
TRAILER LOADING/UNLOADING - Winch
• If you have rented this trailer with the Winch Accessory to load and unload equipment/vehicles, you will be provided with the winch box key
• Open winch box
• Reach inside to push the synthetic rope out through the Fairlead opening, then attach the screw buckle onto the synthetic rope loop
• Rotate the “Engage/Disengage” handle to the “Engage” side
• Check the battery status by pressing the white “PUSH” button to check on the battery charge
• If battery has a good reading, you may proceed – battery will charge while driving, or you can plug in the female end of an extension cord to charge directly
• Use the wired remote control to push the rope out of the winch as well as pull the rope in – please guide the rope in by assisting it in spooling back and forth on the winch wheel
• Once finished with winch work, remove the screw buckle from the rope loop, then feed the end of the rope back through the fairlead
• Replace the wired remote control, close the winch box lid and lock the box
